This simple green smoothie recipe is one of my most-made breakfasts because it has few ingredients, is full of nutrients, has no added sugar, and is super yummy!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup frozen riced cauliflower
  • 1 cup frozen chopped spinach
  • 1 serving chocolate protein powder (my favorite protein powder is Creating Health brand, but you can use whatever you normally like!)
  • 1 tbsp hemp seed hearts
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 tbsp ground flax seeds
  • 3 cups unsweetened almond milk
  • Optional toppings: almost butter, coconut flakes, granola, berries

Instructions

  1. Add ingredients to a blender in the order they are listed in.
  2. Start blending at a low speed then gradually increase the speed (or just use your blender’s smoothie button) until you can no longer see pieces of the frozen veggies. Should take 1 to 2 minutes.
  3. Pour into a cup or bowl and eat plain or add toppings!
